Choosing to charter an aircraft is an exciting experience, but we understand it can also come wih a lot of questions, especially if it’s your first time working with an air charter broker. Below, we’ve answered some of the most common questions we receive at Apollo Aviation Services.

What is an air charter broker, and why should I use one?

An air charter broker acts as a professional intermediary between clients and aircraft operators. We don’t operate the aircraft ourselves - instead, we work with a wide network of licensed and vetted operators to find the right aircraft for your trip. By working with a broker like us, you gain access to a larger range of aircraft, competitive pricing, and the benefit of our industry knowledge. We handle the details, negotiations, and logistics, saving you time and hassle.

How far in advance do I need to book a private charter?

While we can arrange flights on short notice, sometimes in as little as a few hours, we recommend booking as early as possible to ensure the best selection of aircraft and pricing. For busy travel periods or large-group charters, booking at least one to two weeks in advance is ideal. That said, if you need last-minute arrangements, contact us - we’ll do everything we can to accommodate.

How is pricing determined for private charter flights?

Charter pricing depends on several factors, including the type of aircraft, distance traveled, durations of stay at the destination, and availability in the market. Additional costs may include landing fees, overnight crew charges, or repositioning fees if the aircraft needs to be brought in from another location.

Can I bring pets on board?

Absolutely! Many private aircraft are pet-friendly. We’ll make sure to arrange an aircraft and operator that accommodates pets, and we’ll provide guidance on any documentation or preparation you might need for your furry travel companions.

What is the baggage allowance on a private charter?

Baggage capacity varies depending on the aircraft. Light jets and turboprops have more limited storage, while midsize and heavy jets can handle more luggage, including larger items like golf clubs or skis. If you have oversized or special cargo, just let us know and we’ll recommend the right aircraft for your needs.

Is it possible to change or cancel my flight after booking?

Private charters are flexible, but changes depend on the operator’s policies and aircraft availability. we’ll always do our best to accommodate schedule adjustments. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure time are subject to a 5% service fee.
